Dr. Adil A. Abbasi
Board Member, Education Support Initiative(ESI)
Dr. Adil Abbasi, a 1980 graduate of Dow University of Health Sciences, is a founding member of Education Support Initiative (ESI).
With over four decades of clinical, academic, and humanitarian service, Dr. Abbasi has trained and taught at prestigious institutions including Stanford University, Chicago Medical School, UC San Diego, and the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.
For the past 25 years, his focus has been hospital medicine, where he has pioneered inpatient care models, mentored physicians, and contributed to outcome-based research in California. He has authored peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters, worked on NIH-funded projects, and serves as a medical reviewer for the California Medical Board.
A recipient of numerous awards for clinical excellence and teaching, Dr. Abbasi has also held leadership roles on hospital boards and key medical committees. Deeply committed to service, he actively supports humanitarian efforts to uplift underserved communities locally and globally.
